Well it’s Been A Long Time Hasn’t It…
Well since I last wrote an article Newcastle still had a load of over paid tosh, it was the holiday’s and I was half a stone lighter, a lot has changed. I as everybody has been, have been surprised by my club’s start to life in the Championship, I never expected to be top of the table as of lack of transfer activity and having the players that didn’t try last season (Since we let go of Bassong, Beye, Martins etc, won’t miss Owen, Cacapa, Viduka…arse wipes) ie; Smith, Geremi, Butt, but this has seen the emergence of Newcastle’s youth players.
Nile Ranger, Tamas Kadar, Haris Vuckic, Kazenga LuaLua, Ryan Donaldson, Ben Tozer, James Tavernier, Tim Krul just to name a few, these players seem to be Newcastle’s future and I guess I’ve been happy with their progress (especially Ranger, basically 1st team regular) and surprised that they’ve been able to do a job when needed (except maybe P’boro, but that saw the emergence of Tavernier). This youth team may not all be future Premiership stars, but its nice to know that if injuries become hard to deal with, we’ll have a more than decent back up for wherever is affected. Not all of the players will make it to a regular 1st team Premiership player in the future, only Ranger, Vuckic, Kadar, Tavernier and maybe Donaldson and LuaLua, but hell its more than Newcastle have ever had made it to that level. I can count Steven Taylor, Aaron Hughes, Andy Carroll and maybe Peter Ramage that have made it into the 1st team on a regular basis in the past 10 years apart from that nothing which is disappointing. Manchester United brought through Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville in a period of 3 years, they are players that have won Champions League, Premierships, FA Cups and all have represented their countries at International level, why can’t we do that? Well we can, but our scouts will need to work that extra hard to find the players and our youth coaches need to start doing the best to their abilities coaching these kids and correcting the wrongs in them. The young players of this generation are just as good as the players of the old generation, it’s just they aren’t found and that the academies bring players in at such a young age it ruins them. Players need to be picked up from 13-14 not 6 and 7 that way they learn the game from grass roots not by a strict over done controlled games, that way kids pick up that bit of bottle and skill thats needed for the top level. I hope clubs see the sense in what they are doing and correct their ways, but that is or was very unlikely to happen, as the FA has brought in a home grown rule, but clubs can just bring through foreign players which can be a way around of bringing through local youth, but pressure is on clubs these days to bring through talent from this country and I sure hope it happens soon.
Iranian Football Players Banned From Football

Iranian Players Wearing The Green Wristband's In Protest
Four Iranian football players have been banned from football for wearing green wristbands to protest the re-election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The colour green has been adopted as the campaign colour for Mir Hossain Mousavi the opposition to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the recent Iranian election’s which has caused a worldwide stir as of the post-election street protests and violence that is happening in Iran as of allegations of fraud in the election. The Iranian Goverment didn’t take to kindly to the player’s acts of protest and have banned them from football.
Ali Karimi , 31, Mehdi Mahdavikia, 31, Hossein Kaebi, 23, Vahid Hashemian, 32, these players showed their bravery by wearing these bands in protest showing they are willing to fight for what they believe in. People from across the world have showed their admiration for these players for showing their beliefs in protest, lets hope this mess in Iran clears up soon otherwise we’ll have another war on our hands.
R.I.P. Michael Jackson

RIP Michael Jackson
The passing of Michael Jackson yesterday was a shock to everyone, people were expecting to see him perform at London and maybe bring out a new album but not this. The death of Michael Jackson seemed to just go through deaf ears as he seemed invincible, aswell at being only 50 years old it just didn’t seem true, infact I still can’t get my head wrapped round it.
I read a brilliant tribute article on Michael by Billy Johnson, Jnr. of the Yahoo Music Hip Hop Media Training blog and it sums up what Michael was and is “The Greatest of All Time” and how he inspired millions of people. If you want to read this article click here. My sincere condolences go to his family, friends and children RIP Michael Jackson.
Why Can’t Sunderland Be In The S*** And Not Us?

Only Two Left To Go?
Just read an article on Ed Harrison’s nufcblog.com to find there is no meeting with Shearer, Ashley and Llambias. Me like every Newcastle fan has been waiting for news on the clubs sale, transfer comings and goings, new manager and really in general the clubs future. This is bleak news to find out as I hoped for Shearer to be in charge by the time players report back for pre-season but that looks highly unlikely, if not impossible now.
Ashley and Llambias promised more communication with the fans on whats going on at the club and we have just as much communication as before…nothing. As of Ashley and Llambias faults we got relegated not to mention as of the heartless players aswell ex. Owen. I mean I’ve never seen Sunderland as a better team than Newcastle until now and why now? I would of loved to have seen Smoggies and Mackems relegated instead maybe it’ll happen in future them going into League 1, actually why couldn’t the Mackem’s have Bob Murray still and they’d probably be non existant
. Now the Mackems are laughing at us, aswell as the rest of the world are to give an extra massive kick in the nads, you can’t talk about footy in areas outside of north-east with out someone laughing at us and the club has now minus respect to the zero it already had.
I remember the days where me and my mates used to go play footy at the park and we used to brag about champions league football or how we had one of the best strike partnerships in the world at our club, those days seem black and white now to me and it seems that it was an age since we were that team. It was only 5 years ago which I can’t get my head around, and it brings me to the question ”Was Freddy Sheperd Newcastle United’s downfall?”. In my eyes yes he was, Ashley contributed greatly to it though. Sheperd introduced the massive wages, transfer fee’s in installments and of course the poison chalice of the Newcastle United hotseat. Ashley took over and inherited this and basically made things worse with lack of communication and hiring people to run the club that have no knowledge about football and running a club itself. So basically we need to find a owner who knows how to run a club/buisness who’ll understand the need for communication with fans, give manager full backing by giving him the money resources needed, bring in a wage cap so we don’t end up in the mess we are in now again with a load of overpaid pieces of crap, and understand fans views. So we are not asking for much are we?
To see Newcaslte United run like a club like Aston Villa’s or Everton’s would be ideal, we are in need of that we are on the verge of meltdown basically and we haven’t had a well run club since as far as I can remember as to be frank Freddy you were a complete shambles and we already know what Ashley is. Maybe we might get a bonus aswell and see Niall Quinn replaced by Derek Llambias in the future then see how Sunderland fares.
Social Networking…Age/Class/Group Division?

Age Division?
After using Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, I have come to the conclusion that they are age divided. MySpace is more for the young teen to late teens, Facebook for late teens to late 20′s, whilst the older generation of people mid 20′s and over use Twitter.
I’m not saying that young teens don’t use Twitter or people over 25 don’t use MySpace, I just think that certain social networking sites are aimed towards a certain age group. I’m speaking from personal experience I used MySpace from when it first came around until about last year and now I use Facebook allot instead, as a person in my late teens my mates tend to follow the same trend as well from MySpace to Facebook. But now Twitter has been all hyped up and is the new ‘it thing’ in the social networking world, as of celebrities like Stephen Fry and Ashton Kutcher using it. But my friends haven’t started using it yet but I made an account to see what its like and I’m not hooked with it, as it seems bland and not as good as hyped out to be. I’m not slating it, just giving my opinion in this blog of which I give you my opinion which is what blogs are about?…Erm yeah. But maybe if more people from my generation or more of my mates used Twitter I would most likely be using it now.
To me MySpace is now used as a platform for bands being noticed and is trying to mirror other social networking sites such as Facebook in terms of the IM app and the ability to comment on peoples status’s now. Facebook is sort of trying to mirror Twitter in a way with statuses and blandness but still keeping it original. I used to think MySpace was for Emo, Chav’s and the lower working classes, and Facebook for Indie kids and upper working/middle classes but they are a vary of both on each one. But one thing I don’t know is that if there is an ethnic division in social networking, is there one?
Who The Hell Gave The Go Ahead For This Tripe?
Who Created This Monstrosity?
Yesterday I go onto the nufcblog.com site as I do daily, to find an article on the most awful strip my beloved but faltered club has ever produced. First of all why Yellow? Second its exactly the same as the home kit but Yellow and third who the hell came up with the idea of this strip?
My club is already a laughing stock so I think this is just the Dunce hat that was missing from the club, at least I got some light out of it from Ed Harrison’s funny article and I admire the bravery from Habib Beye and Steven Taylor for modelling the p***-take of a kit.
